o Proposed asphalt plant On Skinners Turn Road stopped by Ed Bailor and other neighbors.
o Plan to develop strip malls at Boyds Turn Road and Rt. 260 and Rts. 2 & 260 stopped by Gail Wallace and other OACA leaders, members, and neighbors.
o Legislative redistricting in 2002 which would have put Owings in the PG County delegate district stopped by Sunny Wainwright and other OACA leaders, members, and neighbors.
o Proposed golf driving range on Fowler Road near Rt. 4 - stopped by concerted citizen action.
Things have been rather peaceful in our community for a while, but we can't depend on that quiet continuing. Consider: · Road and traffic problems, including increasing accidents on Routes 2, 4, and 260 and the issue of a traffic light and Boyds Turn & 260. · Imminent revision of the Owings Town Center Master Plan. · Possible Strip Malls.
